Panasonic has created a new photosensor with improved color reproduction

04/04/2023

Improved color reproduction was achieved through the use of two technologies. The first technology is a thin layer of photoconversion using organic film that gives the sensor a high light absorption rate.

The organic CMOS sensor is a new image sensor technology that has an extended dynamic range and high photosensitivity. This allows you to get an image with natural colors and a large number of details and minimize the amount of noise even in low light conditions.

The second technology is electrical pixel separation which reduces the sensitivity of green and red pixels beyond their target range. This allows you to reduce distortions in color reproduction and receive high-quality images as a result.

This technology is likely to be used in the new Panasonic cameras whose presentation is expected in the spring of 2023.
